Cameron Diaz reportedly thinks Benji Madden is the "softest, kindest" man she has ever been with.
The 42-year-old actress tied the knot with the tattooed rocker in a low-key ceremony last Monday after around eight months of dating. It marks the first marriage for both stars, with Cameron previously dating the likes of Justin Timberlake and Jared Leto, while Benji romanced Paris Hilton and Sophie Monk.
But it seems waiting for the right moment to walk down the aisle paid off for the blonde actress as she has found her perfect match in Benji.
"Cameron is a strong woman who knows what she wants and has been through enough failed relationships to know what works. In the end, she waited until she found someone she believed in," a source told British magazine Closer. "Benji looks tough on the exterior, but he's one of the softest, kindest men Cameron has ever been with and now there is even talk of children on the horizon."
Another big plus about wedding Benji is that his twin brother Joel is married to Cameron's close pal Nicole Richie, and the couple were in attendance at the nuptials last week.
Despite reportedly being heard cursing before stepping into the limelight to exchange vows, Cameron is said to be absolutely smitten with her new husband and is keen to start a family.
"Cameron has scaled down her intense workouts and appeared to avoid any excessive drinking over Christmas. Benji has been talking about how he wants to make 'beautiful babies' with her since they first met!" the insider gushed.
"Cameron wasn't sure she'd ever get her happy ending and now she's over the moon."
