LeAnn Rimes has labelled pregnancy rumours “hysterical”.

The 32-year-old singer has previously spoken about her desire to have a baby with husband Eddie Cibrian. But after LeAnn found herself on the cover of America’s Star magazine, with the tagline announcing her supposed happy news, the blonde beauty took to Twitter to set the record straight.

“Wow Star Mag I'm still a cover girl lol Hysterical (sic),” LeAnn tweeted on Wednesday.

It was previously claimed that LeAnn’s refusal to drink alcohol had prompted speculation among her close friends that she was with child.

According to previous reports, LeAnn and Eddie have been trying for a baby for over a year, and the singer has now turned to fertility treatment to increase her chances of conceiving.

“Her close friends believe she’s pregnant,” Star quoted a source as saying. “She’s not telling anyone, but she’s being super cautious about everything she eats and hasn’t been drinking alcohol, which is rare for LeAnn.”

InTouch Weekly magazine alleged earlier this month that LeAnn has been making visits to a doctor in Santa Monica, California to seek IVF treatment.

“She feels like this is her only shot of having a child of her own,” an insider told the publication.

LeAnn and Eddie have frequently discussed their desire to have a bigger family together, as Eddie already has two children with ex-wife Brandi Glanville.

Speaking to Extra TV’s Mario Lopez in November 2013, LeAnn gushed over her eagerness to be a mother.

“We work on it often, but nothing’s popped out! I know, sorry. I think about it often. We talk about it,” she laughed.
