Following the news of their latest single ‘King’, we are pleased to announce that Years & Years have been crowned as the winners of this year’s BBC Sound of 2015.

The accolade caps off what has been a truly momentous and career-changing 12 months for Olly, Emre and Mikey - one that started with the release of their tastemaker single ‘Real’ and its follow-ups, ’Take Shelter’ and the chart-bothering ‘Desire’, with their three videos taking in a staggering 8.8 million views combined.

The year also saw them grace festivals across Europe and an autumn that saw them pick up support slots for Sam Smith and Clean Bandit, a performance on Later… With Jools Holland and a Radio 1 A-Listed single in ‘Desire’, nods to the coveted Brits Critics Choice and BBC Sound of Poll at the end of the year.
