Fifth Harmony are thrilled that Simon Cowell is "so supportive" of their work.
The American girlband were formed on The US version of The X Factor and the infamous judge mentored the girls to the final, where they finished third. After signing to his label and building up a strong following in their home country, they are now trying to break into the British market with their debut single Bo$$, with the full backing of the 55-year-old.
"He is so supportive and he is always so involved in the project," the band's Lauren Jauregui revealed to Very.co.uk magazine. "He's so excited about it and it's a really good feeling to have someone like that in your corner, as he's so influential and good at what he does."
The girls rise to success is similar to that of Simon's biggest success story, One Direction, who were also formed from five solo singers on the British version of the talent show in 2010. Lauren and the girls have had the chance to meet the heartthrobs on a couple of occasions which they all enjoyed.
"They are cool and down to earth, which is really nice to see. Liam [Payne] once said to just make sure that you know that each other is what you have," she recalled. "So it's the five of us against the world pretty much."
For the five girls being together day in day out as they hit the promotional trail can be hard. But Lauren says they have worked out how to each get some alone time when they need it.
"We're lucky enough, the five of us, that we're really good about it," she added. "We're really good with each other and give each other our space and we know how to work with each other and we are all really dead set on that goal."
Lauren is joined in the band by Ally Brooke, Camila Cabello, Normani Hamilton and Dinah Jane Hansen.
