Jordin Sparks wouldn’t try Internet dating in “a million years”.

The Battlefield singer found herself back on the market after her engagement to fellow singer Jason Derulo ended in September. The couple had been together for three years and while the 25-year-old is holding up pretty well following the split, she isn’t keen to dip her toe back into the dating pool just yet.

“I'm not ready to deal with all that," she told People magazine, "I don't have time for distractions or people who are going to waste my time. But I'm in a really good place. Mentally, physically, spiritually – I'm in the best place I've been in years!"

The American Idol winner is gearing up to start promoting her new album Right Here, Right Now in the New Year. But if she does find time to look for romance, she won’t be doing so on online dating websites.

“Oh my gosh, never in a million years! If you see a profile on there, it's not me,” she laughed before adding, “I'm a big football fan, so if I Tweet about a football player, everybody assumes we're dating! I guess for somebody in my position, something like Twitter is kind of like an online dating site. Not that I'm doing that! But when it comes, I could try it …"

The Tattoo star had a very public relationship with 25-year-old Jason. But despite their highly publicised romance, Jordin wouldn’t be opposed to dating another celebrity if they had the right qualities.

“I'm pretty much equal-opportunity: black, white, brown, yellow, I don't care," she joked. "As long as you've got a good job, it really doesn't matter what you do. You can do construction, you can play sports, you can be a musician.”
