Mel B reportedly remains in hospital for treatment of a mystery illness.
The former Spice Girl singer was admitted to a medical facility for an unknown ailment Thursday and is being treated in a private ward, according to UK newspaper The Mirror.
“She is in hospital and is seriously ill. We are awaiting the result of tests and then we will know exactly what is wrong,” a source told the outlet.
Reports of an illness come a day before The X Factor UK’s finale, on which Mel was due to appear.
But sources say it looks unlikely she’ll be able to make it.
"If I had to predict it, having seen her, I don’t think she will be able to do the show,” the insider continued.
"Miracles do happen and the doctors may say she is well enough to leave but, looking at her, I would be amazed if that happens.”
A spokesperson for the star declined to address the claims in detail but appeared to acknowledge Mel isn’t doing well.
“We’re not making any comment. It’s a private medical matter,” her representative said.
The report follows just days after Mel opened up about another medical issue, revealing she is blind in her left eye.
Recalling a botched laser eye surgery 15 years ago, she spoke to Britain’s Hello! magazine earlier this week about losing 50 per cent of her vision, as well as her plans to undergo a procedure to fix the problem.
"I can't see at all out of my left eye. The lasering went wrong so this will be totally life-changing," she said.
