Duran Duran reportedly think Lindsay Lohan will help them win younger fans.

The British group are behind hits such as Girls on Film and The Wild Boys and have won two Grammys during their time in the limelight. Earlier this week Lindsay sparked excitement amongst her fans when she posted an Instagram photo of herself, sister Ali and members Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes, revealing they had been recording in a studio.

And according to RadarOnline.com, the celebrity sisters have a big part on the band's next record.

“[Lindsay and Ali] just got done recording with Duran Duran for their upcoming album!” an insider divulged.

“Lindsay and Ali did vocals for Duran Duran’s new album. The band reached out to them because they know that in order to get people to listen to their new stuff and attract a younger demographic, they needed to do something that would get people to want to buy.”

It's a familiar area for Lindsay, who has albums Speak and A Little More Personal (Raw) already under her belt. Ali has also released music in the form of record Lohan Holiday in 2006, and there have been reports she is back in the studio laying down tracks.

Despite having the vocal talent it was recently reported Lindsay won't actually be singing on Duran Duran's new album, instead offering a spoken word part while Ali offers her soulful voice.

The Mean Girls star is said to be keen on getting back into the music industry and impressing those who can help her along the way.

“Lindsay just really hopes that people are going to welcome her back and allow her to prove that she has what it takes to be successful again," a source previously told Radar.

Last weekend Lindsay appeared to be reminiscing when she posted a photo of the cover of 2004's Speak on Instagram.

"10 years ago today was the release of my first album #SPEAK #SoLongAgoSunday (sic)" she captioned the picture.
