Josh Groban is mostly thankful to the “same 9 people” who write to him continuously on Twitter.

The American singer took to his social media account to acknowledge Thanksgiving. And he gave a special mention to some of his die-hard fans.

“I'm thankful for all 782k of my followers, but especially to the same 9 people who write me every 10 minutes,” he wrote, before joking, “PS your 9 families hate me.”

The 33-year-old clearly has a good sense of humour as well as an excellent singing voice. He preceded his fan tweet with a jokey anecdote about Today Show co-host Matt Lauer, who provides the commentary for the annual Thanksgiving parade through New York City.

“On this day, as it has been for centuries, people scatter in the city of Istanbul for fear of being "chewed and swallowed by Matt Lauer"” he teased.

Joking aside, Josh is no doubt thankful this year for his happy love life as well as his career. Last month he made his red carpet debut with 2 Broke Girls star Kat Dennings and the pair were quick to share the photos on their social media account soon after.

“Kat and Josh recently started dating and are having a lot of fun,” a source told Us Weekly at the time.

Josh isn’t the only star to take to Twitter to share their thanks with the world. Billy Crystal, Reese Witherspoon, Madonna and Missy Elliott are just some of the famous faces who have shared photos and kind words with their fans on Thursday.
