Courtney Love had plastic surgery after realising "the snoze wasn't taking her anywhere".
The Hole rocker has made no secret of the fact she's gone under the knife in the past and has now discussed the reasons for that. Before her music career kicked off the 50-year-old harboured dreams of Hollywood, but decided to take drastic action when things didn't work out.
"I was an actress in the '80s but, well, let's just be real, I had a really big nose and the snoze wasn't taking me anywhere. I got my nose fixed," she told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. "Oh yeah, in six months the whole world changed."
Courtney appeared on the show last night, which was when it was announced that Chris Hemsworth is this year's People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. He appeared via Skype to confirm the accolade, with Courtney giving her thoughts on the matter.
"I mean I didn't see Thor. I saw Rush, yeah he's sexy. His brother [Liam's] sexy... and Jason Bateman's sexy," she said. "I mean I've followed the Bateman family, in fact I've tried out for a movie starring his sister, Justine Bateman, back in the '80s and I didn't get the part. Boooo! It was about a rock band, you know who got that part? Julia Roberts, it was her first part."
Courtney is the widow of late Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain. She's had a difficult relationship with his bandmate Dave Grohl since Kurt committed suicide in 1994, but they reconnected when Nirvana were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April.
They have kept in touch and are now close again, with Courtney discussing what caused them to bury the hatchet.
"The other night we just started talking about this one actress' boobs, we'd both seen them and at one point when she was 20 they were the sexiest boobs in Hollywood, he'd seen them, I'd seen them and we just picked up where we'd left off after 20 years of suing each other. Isn't that cool? Me and Grohl we're totally tight, it's kind of a good thing," she said. "I mean look, if you can give up a grudge like that - because there was a lot of c**p went on - I think anyone can do it."
