Rita Ora’s new rapper beau Ricky Hill “won’t work with her”.
The 23-year-old songstress endured a rather public breakup with another fellow musician Calvin Harris in June this year, after working together went sour. Her new boyfriend is apparently ahead of the game and wants to avoid a repeat.
“Rita and I listen to each other’s music and tell each other what we think, but I’d never work with her,” he told UK newspaper The Mirror.
The pair are both embedded in the music industry. Ricky is a rapper whose father is fashion mogul Tommy Hilfiger, whilst Rita is most recently known for her hit R.I.P.
“I think that always ends relationships,” Ricky continued, on the topic of collaboration. “It’s the same with designing, you’ve got to do your own thing and support each other when you can.”
The couple have been seeing each other since July, but they’re still doing long distance at the moment. Rita is based in London, whilst her love is in California.
“I’m not living in London, but I visit all the time. I love it, especially the weather. It makes me appreciate how lucky we are in LA,” he explained.
Rita’s relationship with Calvin Harris ended awkwardly in June. What followed was a fiery interaction between the pair on Twitter after Rita accused the DJ of preventing her from performing at the Teen Choice Awards. Calvin took to Twitter to declare he had a “damn good reason” for doing so and then declined to talk further about his “personal life”.
