Italy’s best-kept secret Mario Biondi will headline the Shepherds Bush Empire in London on October 26th ’14 as the culmination of a tour around the major cities of Europe.

Mario, a multi-platinum superstar in his home country, caused a sensation when he was last in London in February this year to play six sold-out nights at Ronnie Scotts and previously took the roof off the Royal Albert Hall when he headlined there in May ’13 with London jazz funk pioneers Incognito.

Mario’s unique gravelly bass vocal style has seen him compared to Barry White and Gil Scott Heron and the list of guests queuing up to work with him is impressive with Al Jarreau, Chaka Khan, Leon Ware and James Taylor all appearing on his latest album ‘Sun’.

Mario Biondi has released four studio albums: ‘Handful Of Soul’ (2006), ‘If’ (2009), ‘Due’ (2011), and ‘Sun’ (2013), an album of Christmas standards ‘Mario Christmas’ (2013), and two live albums: ‘I Love You More’ (2007) and ‘Yes You’ (2010).

His debut ‘Handful Of Soul’ featured the single ‘This Is What You Are’, which, championed by influential DJ Norman Jay, became a huge club hit in Italy and the UK. ‘If’ featured ‘Something That Was Beautiful’ a song written as a gift for Mario by Burt Bacharach.

Mario Biondi may only be known in the UK to the cognoscenti, but with a deep soulful voice that would make Michael Buble green with envy, the loverman charisma of Tom Jones in his prime and a world-class songwriting talent, rest assured he’ll be a household name in the very near future.
