Nicole Scherzinger to celebrate release of new album with hmv signing

Nicole Scherzinger visits hmv to sign copies of her sophomore solo release ‘Big Fat Lie’.

Collaborating with super-producer/songwriters Tricky and The-Dream (Beyoncé, Katy Perry), Nicole releases her highly anticipated second album ‘Big Fat Lie’. The record is inspired by Janet Jackson’s work with Jam & Lewis along with Nicole’s favourite vocalists, which range from Whitney Houston to Ella Fitzgerald. The album includes top ten single ‘Your Love’, inspirational anthem ‘Girl With The Diamond Heart’ and ‘Electric Blue’ featuring rapper T.I, with production reminiscent of ‘Dirty Mind’ era Prince. Nicole’s vocal for the epic ‘Run’ is breathtaking, making it one of the most emotive songs of her career.

Explaining the album’s title, Nicole says “we all go through our own battles and hard times and a big fat lie is about how we mask what’s really going on. This album is about me revealing some of my personal struggles and facing them head on. Once you realise something is a lie you are on your way to the truth, where you will find your own clarity, peace and acceptance.”

Also known in the UK for her time as an X-Factor judge, Nicole’s debut solo album ‘Killer Love’ sold over 16 million copies worldwide and she has sold in excess of 54 million records with Pussycat Dolls.
