Gwyneth Paltrow's rumoured beau reportedly feels like he's playing second fiddle to Chris Martin.
The Oscar winning actress is thought to be dating Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk, while Chris is said to be loved up with Jennifer Lawrence.
The former couple went their separate ways in March, announcing the split via Gwyneth's lifestyle website Goop in a post titled Conscious Uncoupling. They still remain close friends though, a fact which is allegedly becoming a bone of contention for Brad.
"This conscious uncoupling might be great for Gwyneth and Chris' relationship but it's not doing them any favours when it comes to their individual love lives," a Hollywood insider revealed to British magazine Grazia.
"Brad cares about Gwyneth a lot, but it's really difficult for him playing second fiddle to Chris. Gwyneth and Chris still spend a huge amount of time together, and speak on the phone every day, which Brad must find alienating."
Gwyneth and Chris have children Apple and Moses together, but their constant contact with each other can sometimes cause a delay when Gwyneth is meant to be seeing Brad, reveals the source.
"Gwyneth has even been known to turn up late to see Brad because she's been stuck on the phone with Chris. To her it's a totally legitimate excuse. It must be a turn-off for Brad because it's a like a huge red flag that neither Chris nor Gwyneth are willing, or able, to move forward," the insider added.
Chris is also said to be experiencing some relationship woes with American Hustle starlet Jennifer.
Earlier this month the actress was hit by scandal when nude photos she'd taken of herself found their way on to the internet.
While the 24-year-old hasn't let the hacked photos shake her, she is said to be hurt with the lack of support she's received from the Coldplay frontman.
"Jennifer isn't the type to fall apart over this. But I think she could have done with feeling like she had the undivided support of the person she's seeing," the source said.
