Ireland Baldwin's family has welcomed Angel Haze with open arms.
The model and daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger is currently dating the rapper, and they even got matching tattoos earlier this year.
Ireland's cousin Alaia is also a big name in the fashion industry and attended the Alice + Olivia New York Fashion Week presentation on Monday.
There, she opened up about her 18-year-old cousin's relationship and how happy she is about the coupling.
“I’ve hung out with her. She’s really, really awesome and she’s really down to Earth,” Alaia said of Angel, when asked by New York Post. “We all just get together and laugh and giggle and act really dumb. But that’s the most fun for me.”
Ireland was previously dating Slater Trout, but they split in March this year. Alaia is glad she's now found someone who makes her so happy.
“I’m really proud of her,” she smiled. “The past year through everything she’s been doing with modelling and relationships, she’s grown a lot as a person. So I think now she’s at a really good place. She’s 18, growing up, and it’s all kind of happened, but she’s taking it really well.”
Ireland and Angel first sparked romance rumours when they posted cosy pictures on Instagram earlier this year. The musician confirmed their relationship in June, but admitted some people were still struggling to accept them as a couple.
"There are still certain limitations for women,” Angel opened up to British newspaper The Independent. “If we were two guys, it’d be insane, negatively insane with the attention. With us it’s all being very positive, the media are like, ‘Oh they’re so cute, they’re best friends.’
"An interracial gay couple, I mean that’s just weird for America right now. We f**k and friends don’t f**k. I have never f**ked one of my friends. Once I see you in that way, it doesn’t happen.
“But we do f**k and it’s crazy and that’s weird to say because I think about it in terms of an audience reading it and them thinking, ‘What the hell?’ But it happens.”
