Jennifer Lopez's daughter is her "mirror".
The gorgeous singer has six-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Now she's 45, the star feels happy in herself and thinks her children have something to do with that.
"I feel they were both given to me for a specific reason," she smiled to the latest edition of British magazine ELLE.
"Emme is my mirror. She is super-emotional, joyful, energetic, athletic, but then she has that very soft emotional core. When she gets hurt, it hurts really bad and I know that feeling because that is me.
"The other day, she flew into a tantrum because I'd promised to take her to a movie and then it didn't happen. She looked at me and said, 'I don't think I got enough love today.'"
While Emme is fiery, her brother is a little mellower.
"Max is the absolute opposite. He's tough, he's clever, scientific, smart and completely strong-willed," she gushed.
Jennifer has had a colourful love life; she's been married three times, to singer Marc, Cuban waiter Ojani Noa and choreographer-and-actor Cris Judd, and also had very public romances with Puff Daddy and Ben Affleck.
In 2011 she started dating dancer Casper Smart, but they split earlier this year amidst rumours he had been unfaithful with two transgender models.
"Is it worth making, in my case in public, and trying to figure out what you do and balance everything and constantly grow? I'd say yes," she reasoned.
"None of it is easy, none of it is safe - you are going to get big highs and you are going to get big lows, so it's not for everyone - but that's exciting. You just need to believe in yourself."
