Anastacia thinks Kim Kardashian and Kanye West should be spending their money on "helping the world".
The 45-year-old singer has achieved worldwide fame with hits including Left Outside Alone and debut single I'm Outta Love. She took a break from the limelight in February 2013 after being diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time, but made her return to the world of music earlier this year when she released her album Resurrection.
During her break from fame Kim and Kanye, nicknamed Kimye in the showbiz world, rose in popularity with their loved up relationship and they eventually tied the knot in Florence in May - the same month Anastacia's latest album was unveiled.
But it seems the musician isn't impressed by the pair's approach to stardom.
"That's a very tough one, but it has to be Kimye. They're just one celebrity. They're a thing now so you can't take one without the other. Who could miss their wedding? It was everywhere," she told the Gay Times when asked which celebrity annoys her the most.
"I mean, if they're in love, that's great. But there's so many other things they could be spending their money on helping the world."
She continued to rant about the pair's contributions to the bigger picture. Kanye has a successful music career and has branched into fashion design, while Kim boasts her reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians and other ventures such as a clothing line. Anastacia believes these aren't beneficial though, claiming that any positive deeds they were to carry out would receive more respect than hers ever would.
"I feel like their need for attention is just so ill placed today. They don't realise the wars and things going on that they become a little obsessive," she sighed.
"They could serve a better purpose with their fame. They would get far more props for doing something like that than I would. But all they seem to care about is themselves."
Actions such as Kim releasing a book of selfies could be considered one of the "obsessive" things Anastacia was referring to. The 33-year-old captured all her candid shots in the book and revealed on the series finale of her reality show documenting her nuptials that she was giving it to Kanye as a wedding gift.
