Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have reportedly turned down $1 million to perform over a weekend in Las Vegas.
The country singers tied the knot in 2011 and have since played many shows together, such as opening the Super Bowl XLVI in 2012 with a duet version of America the Beautiful.
TMZ claims Blake and Miranda were offered the stint at Sin City's Caesars Palace in February this year. The couple were reportedly approached to play just three shows at the hotel's The Colosseum, but the deal allegedly fell through when they tried to up the pay to $1.25 million. It's believed the arena's operator, AEG, were unwilling to agree on the amount.
Last month Céline Dion announced she had put her residency at the venue, which began in March 2011, on hold and that all shows until March 22 2015 had been cancelled. The 42-year-old songstress also put a stop to her Asian tour to focus on her husband René Angélil, who is battling cancer.
Caesars is thought to have shown interest in other singers to fill the spot, including Mariah Carey. The star was reportedly previously offered $750,000 to perform two shows at the ground.
Other names who are thought to have been approached to fill the 4,300-seater arena include Adele, Bruce Springsteen and Prince.
Whoever takes on the role will be joining the likes of Britney Spears, who has a two-year residency at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood. Her Britney: Piece of Me show boasts space for 4,500 guests.
