Juliette Lewis is pleased she appeared in a Gap commercial because she got free jeans.
The 41-year-old appeared in a campaign for the clothing store many years ago, which saw her dancing to Daft Punk's 2001 hit Digital Love alongside the band. The Oscar-nominated actress has joked it remains one of her career highlights, because it boosted her wardrobe so much.
"I had a band, and seven years I sold records on the road, which I miss like crazy, and I write songs. I also once did ads for Gap, which I got jeans out of," she told New York Post.
The star was discussing her life in general, which has mellowed over the years. She used to be known as something of a hell raiser, in part thanks to her time fronting the group Juliette and the Licks. These days she's much more likely to be found relaxing at home with her pets than partying until the early hours at a nightclub.
"I'm 41. Live in LA. No husband, no kids. Care for my ailing parents. Simple life. Junk food. I'm a naturalist. I love dogs. Chihuahua terrier Teddy, my constant companion, is eight, and I take him everywhere - on tour, on location," she said.
Juliette began her career as an actress, receiving international acclaim and multiple award nominations for her role in 1991 movie Cape Fear. She starred in many other big films such as What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Natural Born Killers and The Basketball Diaries. The star then put her acting on hold to tackle music, but is now back with the film Kelly & Cal.
"Insomniac and sleepless, I befriend a punk kid in a wheelchair across the street. Intimacy develops into an inappropriate relationship," she explained.
'He's in love with me. I say, 'I can't. I'm a grown-up.' Seeing they can't be together, watching him through a window is a surprise heartbreaking scene."
