In less than a month underground electronica lovers from around the world will start gearing up and making their way to the sunlit coastline of Pula, Croatia to revere and celebrate everything that is encompassed by the term ‘forward thinking music’, in beach holiday style.

I’m talking of course, about Dimensions Festival. The opening concert takes place on the 27th of August in a 2000 year old Roman amphitheatre, featuring music from Caribou, Darkside, electronica composer Nils Frahm, and UK-based singer/songwriter Kwabs. The 4-day function starts the next day (28th - 31st) across the 11 unique arenas and stages set in the grounds of Fort Punta Christo, a 19th century fort, featuring boat parties, beach parties, some of the best sound systems around and not to mention a lavishly equipped campsite. Among the headliners are Juan Atkins & Moritz Von Oswald as Borderland, Underground Resistance playing a retrospective Timeline set, Moodymann, Nina Kravitz, Mala, Ben UFO, L.A. rock quartet Warpaint, a vibrant and soulful live set from Theo Parrish, the unmistakable techno of Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann, a DJ set full of bangers from selectors Jackmaster and Oneman playing as Can U Dance, Fade to Mind/Night Slugs vocalist Kelela, and so much more…

Boat Party tickets are already selling out fast, however tickets for the main festival and opening concert are still available via the Dimensions Festival website.

The Dimensions team have published a Festival Guide to Outlook and Dimensions which covers a whole lot of useful information about Pula and Fort Punta Christo, the campsite and the beach area, the sound systems, information about food and drinks pricing and living on a budget, and even some tips on Croatian language. You can download the guide from the Dimensions Facebook page. Keep an eye on that page for other practical information such as timetable releases, travel information, and contests.
