Jay Z is said to be planning to whisk wife Beyoncé Knowles away on a five-week holiday in a bid to save their marriage.
The 44-year-old musician is reportedly determined not to let his relationship flounder, and thinks a holiday could be just what the pair need.
According to sources, Jay is hoping to fit the vacation in during the final dates in their joint On The Run tour.
"Jay wants to save the marriage, they have their final US tour date in San Francisco on August 6 and then they have two dates in Paris from September 12 - that's it,” a source told MailOnline.
'He adores his daughter Blue Ivy and he wants a sibling for her, but Beyoncé isn't sure what she wants to do - their marriage is in flux, that's the truth. Jay just wants them to spend some time alone together to try and work it out.”
Jay is also said to be painfully aware that the end of the marriage wouldn’t just mean to the end of their relationship, but would also bring their time together as a professional couple to an end.
So he is pulling out all the stops in a bid to convince 32-year-old Beyoncé to give things another go.
“It's not just throwing away a marriage - it's throwing away a brand,” the source added. “But it may be that Bey has just had enough. She has some trust issues with Jay.”
The claims come after Beyoncé was reportedly spotted house hunting without Jay, fuelling allegations of trouble within their marriage.
According to the New York Post, Beyoncé scoped out a 4,045 sq ft, $21.5 million apartment in the Chelsea area of New York City last month with Jay nowhere in sight at the viewing.
“She was very quiet, as if she was looking on the sly,” a source told the outlet.
Rumours first surfaced of marital troubles after Beyoncé's sister Solange was filmed attacking Jay in an elevator in May. There have also been allegations about the rapper being unfaithful.
