Paris Jackson has apparently been advised to build a "family support system".
The 16-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson reportedly attempted to take her own life last year, swallowing 20 Motrin PM pills and cutting her wrists with a meat cleaver.
She was sent to a boarding school in Utah to recover but has recently been spotted in Los Angeles with a male companion.
On Wednesday the teenager was snapped hanging out with friends and a rumoured boyfriend, accompanied by her co-guardian cousin T.J. Jackson. Apparently professionals hope she will form some close times during her time in LA.
"The doctors who have been treating Paris after she tried to take her life have told her she needs to create a family support system... because she's become estranged from her entire family," a source told TMZ.
Paris' grandmother Katherine was given full custody of Paris and her brothers Prince and Blanket when her father Michael died in 2009. It was temporarily suspended in 2012, but resumed with T.J. added as co-guardian.
Paris' mother Debbie Rowe has visitation rights and has grown close to her daughter.
According to the website Paris' doctors are concerned that her "only meaningful relationship" is with her mother and are keen for her to "mend forces" with Katherine and her siblings.
"They think it's important to her healing," the outlet claims.
A recent report suggested Paris' family are keen for her to remain at the Utah school for a while longer. There is also talk she will move to live with Debbie on her horse ranch when she leaves the school.
