Lily Allen reveals she will soon be entering “shutdown mode”.

The 29-year-old Hard out Here singer released her third studio album Sheezus last year to mixed reviews.

Last week Lily tweeted she was “exhausted by the nastiness” of online trolls and the star reveals she’s considering taking a break from the world soon.

“[I’m going into] shutdown mode,” she told Australia’s Melbourne Daily Star.

“I mean, that’s the only way to deal with it I think … it’s kind of boring talking about negative stuff all the time.”

Lily took a three-year hiatus from music to concentrate on raising the two children she shares with husband Sam Cooper.

And the songstress says she isn’t sure whether she’ll still be writing songs decades from now.

“It’s just a sort of creative passage for me; whether or not I’m still putting out records in 30 years I don’t know, but I’d like to still be writing songs, whether it’s for myself or other people, or for musical theatre,” Lily explained.

Lily is mother to daughters Ethel, two, and Marnie, 17 months.

Touring the world takes its toll on the pop star, as she wants to be present with them at all times.

“They change a lot in six days, seven days. I know it sounds ridiculous but it’s true,” Lily said. “They learn new words, they start holding themselves differently, it’s sad to miss those moments.”
