Beyonce has remained silent on the arrest of her former Destiny's Child bandmate.
The Flawless hitmaker rose to fame alongside Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin, the latter two replacing original members LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett before Farrah's firing.
But the 33-year-old singer and actress was back in the headlines at the weekend, with TMZ reporting she was taken into custody for disorderly conduct early Sunday morning near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
According to the website, Farrah was booked at 4:55am and released the same day after posting $280 bail.
Further details about her arrest had not been released at press time.
TMZ reports it was not her first encounter with police, noting the singer was also detained on similar charges in California in 2011.
Farrah, who made her debut alongside Michelle in the video for Say My Name, was kicked out of Destiny's Child in 2000 amid rumours she fell out with the women.
MTV News reports she was dismissed after missing promotional appearances and shows, although she told the outlet 'negative vibes' were to blame.
Beyonce addressed the rumours at the time with a decisive statement.
'Destiny's Child is going to be fine. We've done three or four shows already without Farrah and they've been phenomenal,' she told reporters.
The diva didn't seem bothered by the scandal on Sunday, however.
Beyonce instead posted several pictures of herself on Instagram with a group of pals enjoying a day at a roller skating rink while on break from her On The Run tour with husband Jay Z.
She's also focused on her next project, teasing she may be involved in the soundtrack for the forthcoming Fifty Shades of Grey film, based on E.L. James' best-selling S&M book.
The singer premiered a teaser for the feature on Saturday, featuring a breathy version of 2003 single Crazy in Love as she gasps, 'Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, oh, no, no.'
The full clip is slated for release July 24.
