Drake nearly received surgery from Chris Brown as part of a video skit at last night's 2014 ESPYS.

The two RnB superstars have had a long standing feud, believed to stem from the fact they both dated pop star Rihanna.

They were recently snapped in the studio together, which excited fans, and crowds at last night's ESPN Awards Show went wild when the video was played.

Drake took on hosting duties and starred in countless skits that poked fun at himself. He and basketball player Blake Griffin try to one up each other after they can't decide on the name of a fake movie. At one point Drake lies in an operating chair ready to get his appendix removed and is dismayed to find Blake is behind the medical mask.

"Oh my god, you're the surgeon," Drake sighs.

"Oh, I'm not the surgeon. He is," Blake smiles.

"Yo, yo mother f**ker," Chris glares as the camera pans round to him.

The audience can be heard laughing, and Chris took to the stage live after the clip aired.

Stars such as Jessica Alba, Cameron Diaz and Chrissy Teigen turned out in force for the sports awards, held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live.

Former wrestler Dwayne Johnson and tennis star Maria Sharapova were also on hand to celebrate, with Maria scooping the top prize for female tennis player.

Winners of the evening included basketball's Kevin Durant of Oklahoma City Thunder, who took home Best Male Athlete, and UFC fighter Ronda Rousey, who received the female prize. Boxer Floyd Mayweather took home Best Fighter and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned Best International Athlete. Despite missing out on this year's Wimbledon title, Rafael Nadal won Best Male Tennis Player.
