Jack Antonoff thinks Taylor Swift has shades of Michael Jackson about her.

The fun. guitarist is known for his catchy indie tracks, but isn't a snob when it comes to music.

His eclectic taste also includes rapper Kanye West and Brit star Lily Allen.

"I love [Lily Allen's album] Yeezus," Jack enthused to American GQ magazine. "I think it's one of the coolest-sounding things ever. And I think Taylor Swift is one of the best songwriters ever.

"Taylor Swift is cool, because she's the closest thing today that hearkens to Michael Jackson - to great, great pop music. There's a difference between her and Gaga and Katy Perry and Lily Allen and all that. It all feels throwaway, comparatively."

The Taylor praise will no doubt come as music to Jack's girlfriend Lena Dunham's ears, as she is great friends with Love Story songstress.

As well as playing lead guitar with fun., 30-year-old Jack has also recently formed new band Bleachers where he takes on the role of singer/ songwriter.

"I'll keep juggling it all," Jack revealed when the publication quizzed him on his two bands. "I don't know. I try not to think too far into the future. But it bothers me when people call it [Bleachers] a side-project.

"It's an annoying phrase. My whole life, I've been someone who likes to do a lot of different things, but I've specifically noticed with Bleachers, people don't like the idea of, like, two bands, two projects. Like, they both have to be labelled, and, well, which one is the main one?

"Which one is the side project? It's like that phrase 'jack of all trades, master of none.' Which I think is a bullsh*t, annoying phrase. It's just meant to scare us into doing one thing," he sighed.
