Pharrell Williams finds it "bizarre" that his son teaches him things.

The 41-year-old singer and producer is proud father to Rocket, five, who he has with wife Helen Lasichanh.

Speaking during a conference in Manhattan earlier this week, Pharrell shared how his son enlightens him about technology and overall enhances his life.

“He's changed my world. My son teaches me," he told the crowd.

“It's crazy, he teaches me [about video games and the latest gizmos and gadgets]. This is one of those times in your life when you're like, 'Think about that one interview when someone asked you a serious question, and it just hit me... When you asked me about my son and my answer to you was, 'He teaches me?'" Like, that was bizarre to me."

The press conference was held for the basketball game NBA 2K15, which Pharrell recently announced he will be creating the soundtrack for. He will be in charge of the songs to accompany the gaming, taking over from predecessors Jay Z and LeBron James.

"I couldn't believe my name got tossed in the hat!" Pharrell exclaimed, while wearing his signature headpiece.

Although the final track list won't be unveiled until later this summer, the star did reveal that two acts to feature will be System of a Down and Strafe.

"I had some people from my staff - they were all girls and women - and we just talked about it," Pharrell explained about the thought process. "I was like, 'I have to do this, [but] I don't know if I'm gonna be able to pull this off, because Jay did it and LeBron.' I'm like, man, how do I follow up those guys? They know so much more about the sport than I do."
