Cameron Diaz has reportedly “taken” Benji Madden’s name.
The Other Woman actress has been dating the Good Charlotte guitarist since May. Now a source claims the 41-year-old has begun using Benji’s given surname, Combs, as an alias when she makes reservations, orders pizza or checks into a hotel.
“Cam is head over heels for Benji, and she thought it would be cute to use his last name,” the source told the US edition of OK! Magazine. “She didn’t think she could use Madden, because that would be a dead giveaway that it’s her.”
The Mask actress didn’t tell her beau about what she was doing. But during a romantic meal at home he was touched by the surprise.
“He noticed the name when their food arrived, and he thought it was funny,” the source added.
The 35-year-old seems just as smitten with Cameron. He was photographed buying a bouquet of roses in Beverly Hills on Thursday and reportedly celebrated America’s Fourth of July with the blonde beauty and her family in Florida.
“[Cameron] goes there every summer and spends time hanging out on the beach with her aunt and her mom," an insider revealed to Us Weekly.
"She is super laid back and didn't hesitate for a second to introduce him to her family. For her, it doesn't mean much other than she likes having him around and they are having fun together. He is totally into her and she is just going with the flow and seeing what happens,” the source said.
Spokespersons for the stars had not commented on the claims at press time.
