Liam Payne is begging fans to not be so mean on social media.

The One Direction star is currently touring with the band in Europe, having played in Bern, Switzerland on Friday night.

Liam took to his Twitter account after the show to thank fans and request that people make an effort to be nice to each other.

“If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all tbh I don't have time for people being out right nasty for no reason... Just because u have a twitter doesn't give u a free ticket to write horrible stuff about people,” he tweeted. “I see it on here everyday people writing vicious things about each other wish we could all just b nice to each other and get along night x.”

Liam continued this sentiment on Saturday morning by tweeting yet another message espousing peace and kindness.

According to the musician, he hates seeing people fighting needlessly and wants it to stop.

“Morning everyone please don't be sending hate to people that's never what I want to sit here and watch arguments all day so let's calm down,” he added.

This isn’t the first time Liam has used Twitter to ask people to behave. Just last month the Irishman begged fans to be careful about what they threw at him on stage.

“Can you limit what gets thrown on stage please! Coz somethin thrown at me tonight! Hit my knee! A lot of pain from it!” the 20-year-old tweeted. “Never wana sound like I'm complaining! But only having my operation 5 months ago, I still get a bit of pain and I'm very scared about it (sic).”
