Liam Payne “loves his boys”.

The One Direction singer rose to fame with his bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan after appearing on the 2010 version of The X Factor UK. They are now in the middle of their Where We Are World tour and despite the volume of dates, they still manage to have fun on stage.

“Great show tonight really enjoyed it :),” Liam tweeted on Wednesday after their show in Dusseldorf, Germany. “love that after so many years together we can still have a laugh on stage love my boys man.”

The 20-year-old wasn’t the only member of his band to take to the social networking site to show their appreciation. Niall also enthused about the show.

“What a laugh in Dusseldorf tonight. We had a right laugh on stage and the crowd was amazing. Thank you!” he wrote.

His posts make a change to some tweets he posted last month. The Irishman begged fans to be careful what they throw at him.

“Can you limit what gets thrown on stage please! Coz somethin thrown at me tonight! Hit my knee! A lot of pain from it!” the 20-year-old tweeted.

“Never wana sound like I'm complaining! But only having my operation 5 months ago, I still get a bit of pain and I'm very scared about it (sic).”

Niall was reportedly seen limping in pain off the stage at an Amsterdam concert earlier that day. Harry was also struck by a wayward object during the performance.
