Queen will release two 1974 concerts in their entirety on CD and DVD soon.

A show from Queen's first headlining tour of the U.K. from March 31, 1974, along with a second show from November of the same year, are chronicled on the upcoming Live at the Rainbow '74, a multi-format set due on September 9 from Hollywood Records.

The tour followed their series of shows supporting Mott the Hoople where critics said that they were the highlight of the evening. Their star was rising and they had just made their debut on Top of the Pops performing their single Seven Seas of Rhye and had released the album Queen II, yet many said they were not ready yet to play the Rainbow. They couldn't have been more wrong.

That March show was recorded by Roy Thomas Baker, who also produced the group's first four albums, with the intention of showcasing the band's sizzling live show as their third release, but Queen's creative momentum was so strong that they, instead, chose to go back in the studio to produce Sheer Heart Attack in its place.

The November show came after the release of the third album and the number 1 hit Killer Queen, providing even more material and excitement for the crowd.

The new set will be put out in a variety of formats:
- Two-CDs with one show on each disc
- Two-LPs with the March show and highlights from the November show
DVD of the November show with four bonus tracks from the March show
- SD Blu-Ray of the November show with four bonus tracks from the March show
- SD Blu-Ray / CD combo pack
- Digital Download
