John Newman talked to KISS FM UK at the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend and revealed he would love to collaborate with Adele next after his single with Calvin Harris.

He said, "My new single is with Calvin Harris - he is such a sound guy....very creative, and it was a very natural thing to work with him. We slowly became friends and then began to make music together. The tune is really cool and I think we will be friends together for a very long time. I always think about the Adele thing, I would love to work with her. She is very inspiring and very cool."

He also revealed his first ever festival experience, which left him hungry all weekend. He said, "I heard the best way to get energy out of food is to eat baked beans so I took lots of cans of all day breakfast, so I'd be alright for the whole festival. Only I didn't take anything to open them with....so I ended up very hungry".

Listen back to Festival highlights including live performances from Biffy Clyro, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kings of Leon, Tom Odell, Starsailor, Passenger and more plus watch exclusive interviews at www.absoluteradio.co.uk
