Jay Z has apparently fallen out with Kanye West because the rapper tried to give him marital advice.
The 99 Problems musician hit headlines last month when a video showing Solange Knowles, younger sister of wife Beyoncé, attacking him in an elevator after a Met Ball party made it onto the internet.
Kanye wed Kim Kardashian in Italy in May and reportedly tried to help his pal out with some kind words. However, this reportedly didn’t go down well with Jay.
“Jay thought it was laughable that Kanye was trying to give him tips when he’s only been hitched two minutes,” a source told British newspaper Daily Star. “His jaw dropped to the ground when he got the call.
“Kanye said he thinks Jay needs to stay focused on his marriage, ignore the negativity surrounding them right now and told him to ‘take care of business’.
“Despite the fact Jay agreed with the sentiment, he thought it was ridiculous that Kanye was trying to act like he knew it all.”
Jay and Beyoncé were noticeably missing from Kanye and Kim’s wedding in Florence last month. Rumours of a bust-up between the celebrities was further fuelled when an observant fan claimed Kanye omitted Jay’s name from song lyrics during a recent performance.
It could be that Jay simply needs to focus on his wife, with whom he has two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, in the aftermath of recent events.
There were rumours the rapper had an affair with reality star Casey Cohen, but she has vehemently denied the allegations.
