LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian speak candidly about their affair in a trailer for their upcoming reality show.

The couple, who struck up a romance while they were still married to their former spouses, are the new stars of their own programme on VH1 titled LeAnn and Eddie. In a teaser clip, the pair are quick to address their affair and how it affected their nuptials.

LeAnn was previously wed to Dean Sheremet, while Eddie's ex-wife Brandi Glanville has been extremely vocal since their split.

"Our relationship didn't quite start off like [we] planned," LeAnn admitted.

"We were both married to other people when we fell in love. Was it the best way to start off? Of course not, but it happened," Eddie explained.

"Now, who we really are is a couple who are in love. We all trying to navigate this blended family which is highly publicised."

Many regarded LeAnn and Eddie's actions as reckless, but he insists they are in a better place now than ever following the backlash.

"Look everyone thinks they really know how it is with us. We have been through a lot both privately and publicly, it is still very difficult but I think it's made us stronger," he continued.

The handsome 40-year-old also speaks about Brandi and her claims he simply lives off LeAnn, 31, insisting he earns his own income. He does find the balance between work and marriage difficult though.

"Contrary to what some people think [about] my ex-wife, I do actually work.

"Being a working actor and being a spouse battle each other all the time," he said.

Eddie has sons Mason and Jake with Brandi, but it appears from the trailer that the youngsters won't be included in the show.

There were previously rumours LeAnn was pregnant after she stepped out wearing an uncharacteristically shapeless outfit, but these were quickly quashed. However it seems the singer is seen to extend her family.

"Eddie and I have talked about kids and waiting for the right time," she smiled.

"I know Eddie isn't quite ready but this could be my only opportunity to have a child.'

The show starts on July 17.
