Naya Rivera admits she is “hating” her new album.
The 27-year-old signed a deal with Columbia Records in 2011 and she is currently working on her first full-length studio LP.
But Naya says her solo musical debut is being obstructed by behind the scenes activities that are stalling the recording process.
“We are kind of halting production on the album because there are so many things going on,” she explained to Galore magazine. “Politics got involved so I’ve been putting it on the back burner; there are a lot of things that I’m doing that I’m excited about.”
Fortunately Naya has a positive outlook on other happenings in her career at the moment.
The starlet reveals she has a lot of promising projects on the go.
“[I’m excited about] finishing this season of Glee and a lot of other things like photo shoots and things I can’t really confirm,” she said.
In the meantime Naya is looking forward to enjoying the summer.
The multitalented entertainer doesn’t think nude beaches are necessarily on the agenda this season, but she’ll consider going topless in public if she’s on a private shore.
“It depends on how private that beach is,” Naya said in response to a question about whether she’d ever bare her chest on the beachfront.
The star is newly single as her former fiancé Big Sean announced in April he had called off their engagement.
The 26-year-old hip hop artist became betrothed to Naya in October 2013 after dating for six months.
