Jennifer Lopez's home is reportedly being cleared of her ex's belongings.

The pop star recently split from dancer/choreographer Casper Smart after two-and-a-half years together.

And People magazine reports the 27-year-old returned to Los Angeles Friday and reluctantly began packing while his ex was out of town in New York City.

"He is upset about the split. He really wanted to stay with Jennifer. He loves her and her kids,' a source said.

Apparently the relationship ended amicably despite the decision. The insider said JLo allowed Casper to keep the thousands of dollars in gifts she gave him over the years.

"Jennifer has always been very generous and Casper has bags of things to move out,' the insider said.

"He gets to keep all the gifts that Jennifer bought him, including the customized truck that she gave him for his 25th birthday.'

JLo has yet to elaborate on the reason behind the split. A source recently told E! News the break-up resulted over a lack of trust.

"Whether there is any truth to what is being reported or not, it's irrelevant. Jennifer did not trust him," a source said. "The relationship had not been right for a while. Smart was never going to be the love of her life, but he was fun and a nice guy to be around. It stopped being fun once his friendships with other people started to come to light.

Now reports suggest Jennifer never really took the relationship seriously, although they apparently plan to remain close.

"Smart was a good distraction post-Marc [Anthony]. He was good to her. He was meant to be easy and fun, and when that was gone, she didn't want to be in the relationship anymore," the source said. "There is no one else. They will remain friends."
