Guns N Roses play Angels classic in Doc Neeson tribute

Guns N Roses performed The Angels ‘Marseilles’ as a tribute to Doc Neeson at their show in Las Vegas last night.

“This one’s for Doc. From the Angels to the angels,” Axl Rose says during the song.

Axl Rose has often cited Australia’s The Angels as one of his influences. The band were also talked up often by Pearl Jam and Nirvana.

Guns N Roses first ever Australian tour was a co-headliner with The Angels.

Doc Neeson lost his battle with cancer and died on Wednesday June 4. He was 67.
