Jennifer Lopez reportedly split from her boyfriend months ago.
There has been a lot of speculation about the 44-year-old singer's relationship with Casper Smart, 27, over the last week. It's been alleged he has been sending raunchy text messages to a transsexual model, prompting claims the couple's romance could be on the rocks. It's now been suggested they actually parted ways a while ago.
"Casper has been a single guy and can text or see whoever he wants, but the idea that he was knowingly texting a transsexual is laughable," an insider told TMZ.
"He's not that guy, but like a lot of single guys online he obviously likes to look at a 'lil T and A."
The website reports Jennifer and Casper went their separate ways two months ago, after dating for two-and-a-half years. The breakup was apparently civil, with both sides realising they were no longer on the same page.
Jennifer has been busy promoting her new record A.K.A. recently, and putting on her mega show in The Bronx area of New York City where she grew up. It means Casper has been able to take his time when looking for somewhere new to live and will apparently move out soon.
Casper didn't attend Jennifer's The Bronx show on Wednesday night, adding fuel to the flames. Afterwards she celebrated with a party at Puerto Rican restaurant Don Coqui, with rapper T.I. on hand to enjoy proceedings. Casper was nowhere in sight, with his representative telling MailOnline he was too busy working to make the event.
Earlier this week it was reported that Jennifer and Casper had been experiencing relationship problems for some time, with issues that "pre-dated" the sexting claims.
