Microsoft Devices and La Blogothèque are pleased to announce the June instalment of the 2014 Lumia Live Sessions (LLS). UK based psych-electronica three-piece, Jagwar Ma, will be performing to an intimate, invite only crowd.

In keeping with the ethos of LLS, which brings emerging artists to unusual locations giving fans unique live music experiences, Jagwar Ma will be performing on 12 June in Bristol’s Old Crown Courts, a disused military court house.

Jagwar Ma formed in Sydney when Jono Ma and Gabriel Winterfield bonded over a mutual passion of melody and experimental beats.

The pair set out to create music capturing the diverse genres that influence them: taking inspiration from contemporary electronica, Jamaican dub, radio frequency manipulation, improvised percussion and the vocal sweetness of Laurel Canyon, Carl Wilson and Bruce Johnston. The result is a truly amazing sound that is entirely their own: a mixture of contemporary psychedelic with the beauty and simplicity of classic sun-soaked, beach pop.

The abandoned military courthouse in Bristol is complete with several courtrooms and holding cells, creating an atmospheric live music experience that compliments Jagwar Ma’s energy.

The third LLS of 2014 follows Brit Award winning singer, Ella Eyre, who wowed fans in a fairground museum in Devon, and electro soul three piece, Years & Years, beneath the streets of London in the abandoned Aldwych underground station.
