Chris Martin and Alexa Chung are rumoured to be planning a "summer getaway".
The Coldplay rocker and British star have been linked since he split from his wife of ten years Gwyneth Paltrow earlier this year. Last week his representative slammed reports he and Alexa were dating after pictures of them seemingly on a date in New York City were published.
Despite this, it's been claimed the pair want to get to know each other better so might go away in the next few months. British magazine Heat claims their break will be to Mexico's Baja California peninsula - where Chris and Gwyneth honeymooned.
"Alexa and Chris speak all the time. They're taking things slowly, but are planning a getaway this summer to figure out where they want things to go," an insider said. "The al Paraiso [hotel, where Chris and Gwyneth stayed] is super-private, and would be perfect for spending some time alone."
Alexa and Chris are known to have been friends for some time and were seen hanging out together at last year's Glastonbury music festival in the UK. Apparently, the former model is unhappy with the speculation surrounding their bond and is adamant nothing untoward happened while Chris and Gwyneth were still together.
"Alexa was really upset when there were rumours about her and Chris straight after he split from Gwyneth," the source said. "She insists they've only been friends until now. But, over the past few weeks, things have developed. Alexa's fascinated by Chris and they'll often speak late into the night."
