Rodrigo Y Gabriela are on a high.
Following the release of the brand new album '9 Dead Alive' to critical acclaim and playing two sold out shows at the Royal Albert Hall this May, the Spanish duo have announced that a live performance of their new single 'The Soundmaker' will be broadcasted during the opening credits of this year's UEFA Champions League Final program.
The program will be aired to 15 million fans nationally on ITV.
The final is usually one of the most anticipated sporting events the year, but is even more important this year it will see two Spanish teams--Athletico Madrid and AC Milan--going head to head.
'The Soundmaker' sees Rodrigo y Gabriela playing face to face, guitar versus guitar, bursting with melodic energy and rhythmic invention, and is the perfect track for the enormity of this occasion.
The UEFA Champions League Final program will be aired Saturday 24th May at 7pm GMT on ITV
