Taylor Swift is not dating Zach Braff.
The Red singer was rumoured to be hooking up with the former Scrubs actor after they were photographed hanging out together backstage at his latest Broadway show. But the 24-year-old’s rep has now cleared up the speculation and confirmed the pair are just friends.
“Despite the rumours, Taylor has never been on a date with Mr. Braff, and he has never been to her home," the rep told Us Weekly before adding a cheeky reference to one of Taylor’s songs, “Like, never. Ever."
The comment comes after the Sugarscape website reported the songstress had grown closer to Zach following his March breakup from girlfriend of five years, model Taylor Bagley. The outlet claimed the 39-year-old would spend time at pop star Taylor’s apartment after performing in the play Bullets Over Broadway.
“Taylor [Swift] and Zach have had a flirty relationship for a while, and [the other] Taylor was always jealous - it was part of the reason they broke up," the website reported an insider telling Heat magazine. "Zach likes Taylor and is keen to pursue a romance. She's into it, too. They've been hanging out in New York while he's in the play Bullets Over Broadway. He'll head to her TriBeca apartment after the show, and they’re often spotted at Union Square Farmers' Market.”
While Taylor and Zach have been confirmed as merely friends, the country singer does have a reputation for dating fellow celebrities. Her famous past boyfriends include John Mayer, Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, Conor Kennedy and Zach’s good friend, One Direction singer Harry Styles.
