Vevo has today announced its third LIFT artist of the year, GORGON CITY.
Kicking off from May 12th GORGON CITY invite viewers to take an access-all-areas look into their world as they work with Vevo to create, commission and deliver exclusive video programming from themselves, their studio and their live environment.
LIFT is Vevo’s flagship original programming strand which shines a light on carefully selected up-and-coming new artists to boost their careers by reaching new fans and audiences via high quality music programming across Vevo. Through LIFT, Vevo gives viewers access to unique music experiences bringing them closer to the artists they will love.
Delivered over the course of 10 weeks, the exclusive Vevo LIFT series will capture GORGON CITY as they take us on their musical journey and allow viewers to see why they are one of the most hotly tipped artists of 2014.
Over the last six months, duo Matt and Kye have cemented themselves as one of the most in-demand production partners at the forefront of the electronic music scene. Their unique and distinctive sound is perfectly encapsulated on their debut single “Ready For Your Love” featuring MNEK, which gave them their first top five hit in the UK charts.
Having collaborated on tracks with acts including the Klaxons, Clean Bandit and Yasmin, the band have been busy building their live plot, both supporting label mates Rudimental on an extensive tour of the US, as well as further embedding themselves into the US market with shows at SWSW, Miami WMC and a sold-out headline show in Brooklyn.
April and May sees GORGON CITY kick off their own sold out headline tour ‘Welcome to Gorgon City’, where they take their show to different venues across the UK. The new summer single from the duo “Here For You”, which is out now, features the hypnotic sounds of newcomer Laura Welsh and is a set to be another sure-fire success.
