Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg are considering a small wedding.

The stars recently got engaged, with Donnie presenting his fiancée with a giant yellow sapphire ring. While they are yet to set a date or firm up on plans, Donnie already has an idea of his dream day.

“I'd like a small wedding," he told Us Weekly. "A perfect wedding for me would be Jenny, myself, and our three boys."

This prompted questions about whether the pair might elope, with Jenny remaining coy on the matter. She would only confirm that they are yet to decide on specifics, although they have been throwing around ideas. At the moment what she wants changes daily, but she is sure that if they go for something formal there will be around 150 guests. Jenny would also like to have six or seven bridesmaids and groomsmen and would put her ladies in swish jewellery.

"It would be this year or next year," she explained. "We like the idea of getting away on a vacation, but we also like the idea of keeping it local.”

At the moment Donnie’s hometown of Boston and Chicago, where Jenny enjoyed her childhood, are the frontrunners. She joked they may decide to tie the knot somewhere between the two places, with Jenny adding she is hoping to write her own vows.

“As long as she's there, I'm there," Donnie gushed.

This will be the second marriage for both. Jenny was previously wed to John Mallory Asher, who she has her son Evan with, while Donnie has two boys with his ex-wife Kim Fey.
