The inquest into Peaches Geldof's death states heroin is likely to have played a part.
Reports surfaced last night suggesting this would be the outcome of toxicology results, with Kent Police confirming today that the use of heroin was likely to have contributed to her death. The inquest lasted just four minutes.
Peaches' body was found at her Kent home on April 7, with the initial autopsy failing to confirm the cause of the death.
Police stated that no suicide note or drug paraphernalia were found at the scene, but results show heroin was in her system at the time of death.
The 25-year-old TV star-and-journalist was at home with youngest son Phaedra, one, while husband Tom Cohen was out with their other son, two-year-old Astala.
Following the tragic news, her father Sir Bob Geldof released a touching statement detailing just how devastated her family were. He referred to his daughter as the "wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers" of all the family.
Peaches lost her mother Paula Yates to a heroin overdose at just 11 years old.
While Peaches' previous wild ways were well documented, many had thought these days were behind her.
“I did experiment with drugs, I did get drunk and go to parties, but I was never that wild," she told Elle magazine.
"I could have been; I could have let myself spiral but all the time I remembered what happened to my mum.”
