Kanye West reportedly wants to give the Kardashian family a makeover.
The rapper is apparently determined to give his fiancée Kim Kardashian’s loved ones a posh new look. It’s claimed he thinks her mother Kris Jenner, sisters Kourtney, Khloé, Kendell, Kylie and brother Rob would suit a more couture and tailored wardrobe.
“Everyone in Kim’s posse – the sisters, even mom – has to wear black and white or edgy, black clothes,” a source told the New York Post. “It’s all Givenchy and Balmain, all the time.”
The Bound 2 singer apparently wants to make his future wife the next big name in fashion. The self-proclaimed style guru thinks Kim is capable of transforming herself from a reality television star to a fashion icon.
“Kanye truly believes Kim can be the next Coco Chanel if she puts her mind to it,” a source previously told Radar Online. “[Kim] has spent the past year quietly and secretly educating herself on the subject of ultra-high fashion at Kane’s behest.”
The star’s endeavours are already paying off, with the engaged couple bagging the highly-sought after cover of US Vogue earlier this year.
The news that Kanye wants to help dress Kim’s family should come as little surprise as he is known to have helped choose her outfits. One episode of the family’s show Keeping Up with the Kardashians showed rails of items he had picked out for his fiancée, with Kim’s style becoming edgier since she has been with him.
He is also known to be fiercely proud of his partner’s style credentials. Kim and her sisters have several clothing lines which sell well, famously prompting the hip-hop star to publicly praise her talents last year.
“This girl is one of the number one designers in the world," he claimed.
"She's been spending her check on clothes since she was 16 just like me and that's the reason why the both of us are the most influential.”
