Courteney Cox may look into the “surrogate option”.

The former Friends star is loved up with British rocker Johnny McDaid, who she met through close pal Ed Sheeran.

With rumours circulating that the couple are talking about marriage, it also seems they’re ready to start a family too.

“They have already decided to spend the rest of their lives together, and they both want kids, so I’m sure this will also be their priority. I’m sure Courteney and Johnny will have quietly been investigating the surrogate option,” an insider revealed to British magazine Grazia.

“She won’t want to put too much pressure on the situation, but will be realistic about the chances of it happening naturally. She wants to have one more child and to give Johnny the chance of fatherhood. “

Courteney, 49, is already mom to nine-year-old daughter Coco from her marriage to actor David Arquette.

Although the pair split in 2010, they remain on good terms. When David announced he was expecting a son with girlfriend Christina McLarty, Courteney openly spoke about how happy she is for him.

The arrival of a baby brother for Coco has also further spurned on Courteney’s own wish to expand her brood, says the source.

“Courteney is really happy for David and Christina. And seeing how much Coco is looking forward to having a brother will have made her and Johnny want their own baby even more,” they added.

Courteney and Johnny have become even closer in recent weeks after working together on new movie Just Before I Go, which the Snow Patrol guitarist has leant his musical skills to.

In a joint interview, the lovebirds confessed there was one reason in particular that working together went so well.
“We got to kiss between takes!” they told Life & Style.

“She gets music, she gets art, she understands the way a scene is constructed, how dialogue works and she puts it all together in her mind and explains it to the world,” Johnny continued. “And [she] makes me laugh and squirm and jump.”
