The talented singer/songwriter Sophie DeBattista has released her very first independent single So Damn Perfect. The song has been receiving attention from radio stations and has been well supported by followers, climbing up to number 3 on the iTunes charts.
Sophie is currently busy evaluating development offers from production companies whose connections include the likes of Birdy, Jessie J and JLS. She is also considering potential directors and producers to work with on the music video for her latest single.
Having just turned 20 years old, the Anglo/Maltese rising star is enjoying a remarkable experience in London where she has been plying her trade as a full time musician for the past year.
Since being awarded a scholarship on the BA songwriting course at the renowned ‘Institute of Contemporary Music Performance’ towards the end of last year, music industry attention towards Sophie has started to increase rapidly. It was no surprise that over the next few months she would appear at several high profile events such as The Westfield Christmas Launch, National History Museum Ice Skating Rink, Open Mic UK Grand Final at NEC Birmingham, Malta Eurovision Grand Final, Malta Music Awards, Busking at The Brits at The O2 Arena, Sports Relief at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and headlining at Proud Camden.
