Peaches Geldof’s funeral was held today.

The 25-year-old TV star-and-journalist was found dead at her home on April 7, with her cause of death unknown at the moment.

A service to honour the mother-of-two was held at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence church in the village of Davington, which was where she married S.C.U.M rocker Tom Cohen in 2012 and where her mother Paula Yates’ funeral was held after she died of an accidental heroin overdose in 2000.

Crowds lined the streets as Peaches’ coffin arrived. The casket was painted pale blue and included a drawing of the star, her husband, their two sons Astala, two, and 11-month-old Phaedra and pets on the side, as well as flowers and clouds. The hearse arrived at 1pm local time, with other cars bearing flowers also seen.

A number of celebrities paid their respects to the daughter of Sir Bob Geldof, with supermodel Kate Moss, Rolling Stones star Bill Wyman, Jools Holland, Jo Wood and Sarah Ferguson all in attendance.

The church is next to Bob’s estate Davington Priory, with cards and flowers from well-wishers left at the entrance to the home. It’s thought Peaches’ ashes will be scattered in the grounds of the home, where she spent time as a young girl.

The star’s family had previously said the funeral would be a private affair, with Bob and Peaches’ sister Pixie thought to be paying tribute to her.

It has been reported that Peaches’ body was found after her husband raised the alarm when he couldn’t contact her. The couple’s youngest son is thought to have been found by her side.

An autopsy has taken place but was inconclusive, with toxicology tests outstanding.

Bob released a statement shortly after Peaches died in which his grief was palpable.

“She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and most bonkers of all of us,” it read in part.
