Courtney Love and David Grohl have made up.

The wife of the late Kurt Cobain and former Nirvana drummer Dave have a had a long running feud which culminated in Courtney accusing Dave of coming on to her daughter Frances in 2012.

But the pair appear to have put their differences aside, and stood next to each other at last night's ceremony to celebrate Nirvana's induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Courtney posted a photo on to her Twitter account that showed her and Dave in an emotional embrace.

"The most magical part of the evening. Thank you Dave, love you. I know this made him smile up there (sic)," she captioned the photo, showing she still has Kurt in her thoughts.

Earlier this week Courtney told British magazine NME that she wasn't looking forward to reuniting with Kurt's old bandmates, who also includes bass player Krist Novoselic.

But no ill feeling was shared between the trio.

"If I skip the party It's just coz I'm tired- love you guys in my crazy way @KristNovoselic #hatchetburied #deepintheground (sic)," Courtney revealed.

The celebration comes 20 years after the suicide of Kurt, who formed the successful grunge band in the 1980s.

Krist also took to his social media account to praise Courtney.

"Nice words from @Courtney tonight (sic)," he wrote.

"Back at you and Dave @KristNovoselic incredible evening, xx (sic)," replied Courtney.

Kurt's mother Wendy O'Connor and sister Kimberly Cobain were also on hand to accept the award.

"I just wish Kurt was here to do this," Courtney solemnly told the audience at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
