Selena Gomez has reportedly fired her parents.

The 21-year-old pop star has been managed by her mother and stepfather, Mandy and Brian Teefey, since her days at Disney. But sources close to the singer purportedly tell TMZ Selena has decided to part ways with the pair and feels she has “outgrown” them.

Apparently the Come & Get It hitmaker is in the market for a more experienced manager with a roster of A-list talent.

Although Mandy and Brian are said to be upset with Selena’s decision, it’s not believed to have caused a major rift between them.

A spokesperson for the star had not publicly commented on the allegations at press time.

News of the apparent split follows a difficult personal time for the singer, who has recently had to deal with two alleged trespassing incidents at her California home.

Che Cruz, 20, was charged earlier this week with one felony count of stalking after he was convicted of trespassing at her Los Angeles residence just hours after his release from police custody after being caught in a similar incident.
Cruz, who has been ordered to stay away from the star, could face four years in prison as charged.

But Selena is not only dealing with security issues. She’s also reportedly under strain due to the situation surrounding her relationship with on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber.

The 20-year-old Baby singer is embroiled in a legal case of his own amid accusations he assaulted a paparazzo back in 2012 and it’s believed Selena may have to testify in the case.

“Selena is nervous to testify because she doesn’t want to say anything that could negatively affect Justin,” a source recently told Hollywood Life. “She’s more than willing to support him but she’s not happy that she’s been dragged into the case.”
